This series equips educators with the knowledge and strategies needed to provide research-based instruction for learners functioning at the sensorimotor level. Emphasizing a student-centered approach, the session guides participants in assessing student interests, motivations, strengths, and weaknesses to improve goal writing and instructional planning. 

 

Participants will learn to develop routines with embedded goals, implement structured motor activities, and collect data to monitor progress. Designed for Adapted Physical Education teachers, Physical Education teachers, Special Education teachers, and instructional aides, the session promotes a well-balanced philosophy of sensorimotor instruction, deepens understanding of developmental learning schemas, and builds competence in using evaluation tools and data-informed teaching practices.
